The initial brief was to modernise the guide, whilst making the layout more accessible for readers and functional for the content updates each season. It was also essential that we would be able to liaise with numerous contacts at the Theatre Royal as well as each individual production and marketing teams.
A layout was agreed with the Theatre to ensure that each quarter the format of the brochure would stay the same yet the design and content would change. Due to the nature of this project, we have to work to extremely tight deadlines therefore it is essential that the organisation and account management of this project is to the highest degree. Our designers are prepared with a schedule to ensure all deadlines, checks and sign-offs are met and the copy has to be checked with a fine-tooth comb to ensure all details, prices, dates and information are correct before being sent to print.
The design is contemporary and striking drawing the reader’s eye directly to the brochure, the design required the highest level in quality and this has also been reflected in the print, due to our relationship with the printers we were able to guarantee a fantastic quality of print at the best prices. Each quarter the guide utilises the Theatres main production and uses real images to ensure the front cover stands out. As well as the what's on brochure we have also designed elements of the website in-keeping with the format and style of the brochure.
The initial contract was for 12 months however nearly 2 years on we are continuing to produce the what’s on guide and have developed a strong relationship with the client.
What you will not get from us, however, is anything off the shelf. No pre-prepared logos, no standard templates, no cut and paste strategy. Everything is bespoke - we believe that when it comes to design, branding and marketing, this is the only way to do things.
